01 story behind the name
When choosing a name for my design studio, I wanted a name that would reflect both my story and my design philosophy.
Grace is a word I’ve always been drawn to for the feeling it evokes – elegance, sophistication, and a sense of effortless beauty, qualities I strive to bring into every space I design.
Haus is a personal tribute to my maiden name, Hauptman, and to my father, who passed away in 2022. He was an unwavering source of love, support, and connection in my life. Bringing Haus into the name of my business felt like a way to honor him and keep his presence close.
To me, Haus represents more than just “house” in the literal sense, but “home” – a place filled with warmth, comfort, and belonging. Together, Grace Haus embodies the balance of beauty and heart. That balance is the foundation of my design style: creating spaces that are visually stunning while also supporting the rhythms of daily life.

My journey into interior design began with my own home. I discovered a love for the creative process when I set out to design a space that felt distinctly my own – warm, inviting, and full of character. While many homes in Florida embrace a more modern aesthetic, I envisioned a home that echoed the cozy charm of the Northeast where I grew up, layered with textures, woodwork, and thoughtful details. I wanted a space that wasn’t just beautiful but also evoked a feeling of calm and comfort. That experience showed me the power of design to transform not only how a home looks, but how it feels.
That realization inspired my approach as a designer: a home should be more than beautiful; it should truly support the life you want to live. To me, good design begins with understanding how you and your family will use each space. Do you need a kitchen that encourages healthier eating? A living area that fosters connection and presence? A bedroom retreat that promotes rest? Every design decision has the power to shape habits, nurture well-being, and create ease in daily life.
Today, I bring that same intentionality to every project – crafting spaces that are curated and timeless, but above all, deeply personal. My goal is to design homes that not only look stunning but feel like a reflection of who you are and how you want to live. Spaces that invite calm, comfort, and connection the moment you step inside.

Whether starting from scratch with an empty room or breathing new life into an existing one, Room Design & Styling is designed to create a space that looks beautiful and feels deeply comfortable. This service can include layout design, furniture selection, curating custom pieces, layering in textures, and adding finishing touches that bring warmth, character, and personality to your home.
